My uncle had a BX Diesel estate. Don`t know if it was the turbo or the

plodder, but he kept it for years. Was the best car he ever had he

reckoned. Used it for Caravan towing.

Yeah, it was for Steve and his "must be german" company car. Wondered if

rather than them supplying a german car, he could choose the allowance

instead.

BX`s are bloody brilliant cars. I know someone that had a TD Estate, and he

once had a loaded pallet on it, and I was absolutley gobsmacked at how

cavernous it was inside, mainly due to the uber-low loading floor. Great

motors, go on and on, and *very* comfy seats.

The new images of the updated Nissan 2010 Altima was leaked to the web on the same day the company issued a recall for 26,398 Altimas and Maximas.

2010 Nissan Altima leaked img_1 | AutoWorld

The 2010 Altima receives the reworked front fascia, now it features a slightly more prominent upper grille and a lower intake that’s molded in body color plastic instead of black. Flanking that lower opening are new foglights that sit inside boomerang-shaped recesses. We can’t make out much of the car’s hind quarters, but it seems the tail lamps have grown a in size.

Read more (details and photos)!!

Engine options will expected carryover, meaning we can expect a 2.5-liter four cylinder with 175 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque as well as a 3.5-liter V6 with 270 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

In terms of technology, the Altima is probable to deal a 4.3-crawl HDD navigation approach (with iPod connectivity), xenon headlights, and a 9 GB audio usage.

Title: Renault upholds French auto tradition
Date: Fri, 25 Sep 2009 10:48:33 +0000
Author: Kevin Dietrich

twizy

The French automaking industry has long had a reputation for turning out vehicles that appear to be built completely from scratch, as though there was not a single other car in the world from which to turn for inspiration.

Renault upholds that tradition with a couple of its prototype electric cars: the Twizy, shown above, and the Zoe, which not only have ridiculous names but are among the ugliest vehicles ever produced anywhere. Renault unveiled the concept cars last week at the Frankfurt Autoshow.

The Twizy, which looks like it has square wheels, is expected to go into production in the second half of 2011 and the Zoe in mid 2012.

As The Coyote Blog puts it: “Combine 40% French design and engineering, 40% political correctness, 10% Hello Kitty and 10% of WTF to get this new electric concept car from Renault with square wheels called the Twizy.”

Indeed, the Twizy looks like it would come out on the short end of a battle with a Big Wheel.

Of course, there’s no accounting for European tastes in general when it comes to vehicles – it’s apparently either all (Mercedes, BMW or high-performance expensive sports cars) or nothing (Yugo, Citroen or pretty much anything built behind the Iron Curtain).
